I would really only consider 311 a favorite band at this point. I don’t follow anyone else very closely, except maybe Stick Figure, but it's been several albums since they released anything that I really liked.

Over the years, these have been the bands that I would’ve considered favorites at one time or another (no order):

    Incubus
    Dave Matthews Band
    Zebrahead
    Jimmie’s Chicken Shack
    No Doubt
    Our Lady Peace

True! I admittedly don't know much about artists from the U.K. I do like Dido though.

    I can understand that.

My top 4 above are permanent. My 5 spot can change between several bands. Fern Planet, Lucie,Too, Brats, Stereopony, Mutant Monster, Quince and Tricot. Could easily be in at the 5 spot. I guess a top 10 would have been better.

    Edit: Akai Koen too.

Like you and your love of all things Japan music, most of my musical taste comes out of the U.K. been that way most of my life. Just so happens I wound up living here!

Give SW I try if you’re into progressive music.

Not meaning to hijack the thread but, you won’t hear a better sounding record than a SW record if you’re into that kind of thing. Everything is produced, mixed, and engineered to perfection. He’s a magician.
