Another top 10 list by yours truly...

I thought this would be interesting. I think most would agree 311's prime was (somewhere) in the 90's, so, what's your top 10 favorite songs "after their prime"? Music, Grassroots, Blue, Transistor, Soundsystem, and pre-Music are off the table. Anything after Soundsystem goes.

And also it goes without saying 311 has had several great songs, and great albums, after "their prime" (Stereolithic's my third favorite album), so I'm not at all declaring only good 311 comes from the 90s. But I think this will be interesting to see what's someone's favorites are when all 90s songs are exempt.

    Here's mine:

    1. Syntax Error
    2. Uncalm
    3. The Great Divide
    4. Friday Afternoon
    5. Extension
    6. Wildfire
    7. Made in the Shade
    8. I Told Myself
    9. Still Dreaming
    10. First Dimension

All songs after 90s are eligible (FC, Evolver, the three GH songs, DTOM, Uplifter, UP, Stereolithic, Mosaic). Songs that were released for the first time on Archive but are from the 90s are NOT eligible.

Probably since like '01? I don't know, I listened to whatever my brother played in the car and it was often 311. Then he made me a burned CD mixtape of like 25 311 songs and that was like my music when growing up. It wasn't until like '07/'08 when I got really into them and bought all their albums.

I'm not that old, only 24.

We were about the same age when we really got into them. I'm 21 now and got into 311 heavy in 2009.

Dream State and Charge It Up have definitely bumped songs off this list. Maybe Better Space too.

Sweet. It's very weird to me that Grassroots was released the year I was born. Like it feels old but it doesn't feel THAT old lol. It's very weird to look at a timeline of my life next to 311's career. I first heard them probably when I was way young like 6 or 7 and i remember Down and Random and Jacks Weather. So to me it's like Blue was released in like 2000, but it's a whole 5 years before that.

I wish I was born in like 1980. (Especially seeing how shitty things have gotten nowadays, at least music wise).

Good to know someone else is around my age and knows where good music's at (almost entirely in the past......90s, 2000s, 80s, 70s, 60s, etc.)
