Go extremely well together.
I'm already placing Space and Time in a nifty little 3-song trifecta with Simple True and Made in the Shade.
The weakest tracks from these two albums also fit nicely together, in the trash bin.
It'd be interesting to hear an entire album of all of 311s worst songs.
Oh wait, that already exists. It's called Uplifter. Wait, my bad. It's actually called Dont Tread on me.
I think we could cull together an album of B-Sides that is actually worse than both of those albums. Spin this.
I Like The Way
Into The Flame
Time is Precious
Week of Saturdays
What Do You Do
Stealing My Girl
Take My Money
How dare you. Vape'n Away is such a weird/chill thing. What Do You Do is a good song. And Time Is Precious holds a special place in my heart.
The rest of that list is correct.
I love What Do You Do, that's one of my favorites from Evolver. Same with Into the Flame and DTOM.
I was going to write the same thing yesturday after reading a few posts above. WDYD? and ITF are some of my fav b-sides.
Hmm I actually really like take my money and into the flame. Overall that would be pretty weak for an album though. Yeah, probably worse than DTOM/Uplifter.
How did Take my money not make DTOM though? Might be the best song on the album.
So like, an album that goes:
2. Don't You Worry
4. Space and Time
5. Dream State
6. The Night Is Young
7. Face in the Wind
8. Too Late
9. Hey Yo
10. Better State
11. What The?!
12. Inside Our Home
13. Places the Mind Goes
14 Rolling Through
15. Syntax Error
I would much have preferred if they took a few years off to come out with this album instead.
You forgot Charge It Up, Extension, Days of 88 and One and The Same
I like each individual song here, but I picked somgs from the opposite album that trumped them. I also wanted to keep the length reasonable.
Nothing trumps Charge It Up imo
It's the weakest non-Feld Voyager track for me. I'd say the lyrics and Nick's singing are what holds it back most, but the ending is too Prog 101 for me. Like I know 311 isn't Chon, but I still think they coulda dialed up something more exciting before the denouement.
Big gulps huh? Alright..... welp, see ya later!!!!
I actually like the part that sounds like Mario Kart trophy ceremony fanfare better than the Rush homage. It reminds me of Acid Wash by Panda Bear.
They did 21 tracks with Transistor, so:
Title: "A Voyage into the Mosaic of Avoiding Feldmann"
2. The Night Is Young
3. Better Space
4. Island Sun
6. Space and Time
7. Rolling Through
9. Hey Yo
10. Don't You Worry
12. What The?!
13. Face in the Wind
14. Forever Now
15. Days of '88
16. Inside Our Home
17. Dream State
18. One and the Same
19. Syntax Error
20. Charge It Up
21. Too Late
That album would be siiiiick.
Excellent name. Haha
