We had a thread for us to post our music in the last forum but I feel like we didn't get a lot of action there. So I challenge all you guys to be more active in here, share your music, and let's actually listen to each other's shit as well.

I've played in bands before, one was mildly "successful", but have been recording on my own for years now. I've also done a few songs with my wife on vocals. Lately, I've been making music geared more towards use in soundtracks, like video games, podcasts, TV, film, anything that needs music. I've really had fun working on this music and think I'm really stepping outside of my box and enjoy the music a lot. My Soundcloud page is HERE which is a nice little sampling of my stuff. I did have to "watermark" the music by saying my name over it so it can't be stolen, I am going to be starting to sell my music on an existing business I have a weird connection to.

Almost all of the music there is synth based, which again is something I've never done until recently. I've used the synth plenty but everything is typically still mostly guitar driven. I'm about to also upload some more rock based instrumentals too though, just so people know I do that too fo sho. Sorry for the long post, just want to get people back into it here and talk about their music, their process, and post the shit for all to listen to.

Here is a promo video I made that does not have the instrumental watermarked with my name and is a pretty neat song:

That's really different stuff, man, but I dig it. Like the bass line in particular. Props for being willing to share your music.

Idk, I've written tons of shit and thrown it away, just to write more. I mainly write stuff in Guitar Pro since it's a great program to tab out all essential instruments, but that also makes most of the music sound...low-fi. Maybe I'll share some of it here. Or maybe the lyrics. I've been working on a rock opera of sorts for the last 8 months and I still am nowhere close to finishing it, but I like how it's coming along.

Hey man thanks for checking it out, glad you like what you heard!

So when you say you mainly write in Guitar Pro, does that mean you're basically tabbing stuff out, or do you actually record guitar you play into the program? I'm not all that familiar with the program. Either way, post your shit if you have anything, don't be scurred.

Band I was in over a decade ago.
We were only together for about a year and only recorded 4 tunes. A 4, sometimes 5 piece band, depending if the sax player could make a gig. The bassist/singer was a funk r&b type, I was the guitarist, and two other friends were on drums and keys. This is what our collaboration netted.

Although I've played with several decent bands, the contribution to music that I'm most proud of is my internet radio station. I was born into, work in, and love radio. So, it was only fitting that I make a radio-based pet-project! If you're into 2000's rock & metal, I encourage you to give it a listen!

Tabbing stuff out, mainly. So it'll sound like a real song but with makeshift fake instruments. Idk, I'll think about it.

Thanks man! I know on here I'll probably get scolded when I say, I've never heard the urge before. I should probably get on that. :)

Yeah man this is cool stuff. Any current projects going on? Either way, I agree some of this reminds me of The Urge. Check out their album Master Of Styles, some pretty cool shit to be found there.

Is all the "Max Capacity" stuff the instrumentals you're referring to? If so, pretty cool almost trip-hop type stuff going on. Some of it's reminding me of the music a BB'er named Riles (is he here?) put out. I've listened to 3 instrumentals so far, of course had to check out Firewater just based on the name.

Very nice work man, sounds great. On Fire Walk With Me, are you also singing or was it all you just for the instrumental? I don't know if this is at all an influence for you, but I got a slight Foo Fighters vibe. For Empires OMG 3:11 long add it to the spreadsheet and post on the Familia! Total Deftones vibe for sure. Nice guitar tones on both songs.

Yeah I'm singing on that. Programmed drums on Superior beat by beat, it's pretty awesome to be able to get shit out of your head and into sound with apps. And yeah, I totally love the Foos, but I've never owned an album. Kinda felt that track had some Omar from ATDI in it. Relationship of Command pwnd my soul guitar-wise for a hot minute back then. I wrote those riffs in '03 or so. :p

FWWM is all C#G#C#D#G#C#, 25.5" scale set-neck Ibanez ST-100 with SD JB bridge into Avid/Digidesign Eleven Rack.

Empires is a Brian Moore I2 24.75" scale all mahogany Les Paul type with a SD JB into a Zinky Thorn (Mofo w/upgraded transformers) with Mullard long plate 12AX7 and JJ KT-77 power tubes into a detuned 2x12 cab, UK V30's, miked with a 57 and Rode K2 (orange label Amperex 6922 in the capsule).

I take toanz as VERY serious business. I even use 10 gauge wire like Bogner in my cabs.

Dang man, lots of technical info that I'm just like "well, that all sounds good" about! Strangely enough, I've never really checked out ATDI but will have to do that sometime.

Here's another visualizer video I made just now for my instrumental called "TRAPPIST 1-E-F-G". It is non-watermarked. I really like how this came out, definitely way different than music I used to do with barely any guitar, which would be one of the first if not the first time that's happened but has happened more since.

Thanks man! I really like how that instrumental came together. It was one that I had started a long time ago and had some of it and always liked it, but didn't really know where to take it or how to finish it and just worked on other things. Then I came back around to it and changed some things up which really opened it up to get crazy with the last minute plus of the song.

HERE is a new rock instrumental I just posted. I REALLY like this one, have been sitting on it for a long time. I have a handful of rock and surf instrumentals I'll be releasing soon but just wanted to put this one out as a sneak peek. It's also not water-marked with my name on it at this point, so that's fun.
