Whenever, let’s do it....oh wait him...yeah go girl! The cuts back to OG movie seemed cheesy af (they still are sometimes) but the way it plays it out during the season (only on S1 E6) makes it endearing. Maybe it was just the first flashback when Daniel saw the dojo re-opened...seemed campy and I was hoping for something slightly more serious. Anyway, I was choked up during the Miyagi scenes so yeah....
Me too, then I'd laugh hysterically at myself for crying. Lol It is the worst cheese I will love until I die.
I turned Bridgerton on a few of nights ago when I couldn't sleep. I ended up being glued to it for about 1.5 episodes. I've already watched the first season and kinda want to turn it on again.
Just finished “Tiger” on HBOMax....that was incredible. He deserves what he got but I do feel for him and it’s pretty obvious his parents raised him wrong. That has to be so tough to deal with because my mother was my rock (like his dad) and if I had to realize she was flawed like that...it would change my life. Plus I’m going through some shit with my dad and it really hit home.
Just finished S3...wow. I’m in love with that show. Hopefully there’s only a season or two left in the plan...they’ve hit almost all the high notes.
I watched Evil Eye on Amazon last night. I had read an article about it in Fangoria magazine that lead me to believe it would be a cool movie, but, it was pretty weak. It's like an Indian folklore sort of story but extremely watered down and came across as a soap opera most of the time. Excellent concept/premise, absolute shit delivery.
Super late to the game but am in the thick of Queen’s Gambit (episode 5 I think.) Yes, it is every bit as good as everyone says it is.
Finished up season 1 of Mind Hunter on Netflix. That is a very interesting show, looking forward to jumping into season 2. And, most importantly, Are You Afraid Of The Dark has another limited 6-part revival series and episode one came out on Friday and we watched it yesterday. They did a 3-parter in 2019 which exceeded expectations.
Finally getting around to Chernobyl. Holy fuck what a show. Only have one episode left. Have to supplement by watching an episode of The Office. Other half has never seen it and since we just finished P&R I felt that it was finally time. This’ll be my…3rd rewatch I believe.
I watched Chernobyl except for the finale like a year ago. Then we just never watched it, probably because it was such a heavy bummer as we entered the pandemic. Need to finish that shit.
Funny timing, I just finished my re-watch earlier today. Still a stunning experience. And I don't mean that in the "wow what a fantastic movie!" way. I mean your body literally feels stunned, among multiple other visceral reactions while watching. Such as when you realize you're close to passing out, because you've been subconsciously holding your breath the entire final scene with the liquidators.
Finished "the stand" on CBS All access (or paramount, make up your mind). Kind of "meh" ending. I haven't ready the written work in 20 years so I'm a bit rusty on if it lived up to it. The "coda" episode was totally not needed. Could have left it the episode before.
I’ve heard a lot of bad things about this series and how unfaithful it was to the book. And just how overall unnecessary it was to be made.
They are probably right. So much talent in the cast though, it was sad to see it fall apart after a few episodes.
I have heard the same thing. And not just from critics or internet strangers, but actual people I know that are Stephen King fans and usually share similar tastes as myself. I'm in no rush to buy the CBS All Access app to watch that shit.
