Are these going to be prime like Mulan? Like you need a sub PLUS the price of admission?

(not that it matters as I'll likely pirate lol).

I am interested in seeing what the future of theaters will be like. You could say a lot of things were the beginning of the end way before the pandemic - ease of watching things on demand, whether legally or illegally. For a few hundred bucks you can have a massive TV. For small financial upgrades you can have an even better quality TV, a booming speaker system, etc.

But I don't see theaters going away. Shifting, evolving - sure. Even though we can have a good experience at home, there's still something to be said for going to the theater.

I didn't see anywhere mention an additional fee. Same day it hits theaters, it hits Max for 30 days then goes away for a bit.

I don't love a studio doing this, but whatever. I also would never spend money on any of these movies in a theater, so I'm not the target market for opinions.

Binged The Undoing this week. The finale received meh reviews, but I enjoyed all six episodes and how they wrapped it up.

I do the Tim The Toolman Taylor noise WAY more than the average person. I think my most watched video on Facebook was a few years ago I recorded myself playing the Home Improvement theme song on guitar and doing the noise at the end of it. My own music or creations I actually put thought and effort into get way less attention and that shit's annoying.

Understand. Between playing the game chopping the footage recording the script and everything else, I put about 100 hours into a video about my favorite game and it only has like EDIT: 513 views. On a whim I recorded an unboxing of a MacBook and it has like 6K fucking views.

Can we post as of yet unreleased movie trailers in here or should we put them in a forum of their own? This one looks interesting... but I would only watch the first half of the trailer if you want to avoid spoilers.

I just binge watched The Queen's Gambit this past weekend and loved the hell out of every minute. I've never tried to learn chess and that had no impact whatsoever on my enjoyment of the acting, 50/60's period wardrobes, cars, music... It really had a Rocky sports movie flavor but with more fucked shit happening to the protagonist. 9/10

Based on friends recommendation I watched Undoing. It was ok. I wouldn't give it all the rave reviews everyone else seemed to give. It ends, well how I expected it too. No real twists at all. I kept wanting a twist, and there were none.

    nice tits though.

    It's so good.

I'd recommend checking out Unorthodox if you have not done so already. It is similarly great. I saw it ranked number two on a list behind the Queen's Gambit as best Netflix original dramas in 2020.

I just watched 90% of the most recent episode of Star Trek: Discovery. It was probably one of the better episodes in the series, but 3+ seasons in I realize.... I don't give a fuck about anyone on the show. I actually hate the main character more with each episode. What really sealed it for me was when
Michael died in the mirror universe I was like, "Why the fuck can't that happen in the prime universe?" and then later, in the prime universe, someone told Michael that she's cut out for the Captain's chair (pretty much advertising that it's going to happen eventually), which, no she isn't. She blatantly disregards rules, especially that of the captain, and goes rogue every other episode. She's like the Jack Bauer of space, but rather than yell at people she whispers with tears in her eyes. Blegh.
So I closed the window without seeing the end of the episode knowing that I have no interest in following this show anymore.

But I need new sci-fi now.

Do you watch The Family Man every year? I could definitely watch that one again. I'm a sucker for some Téa Leoni.
