For the record, I don't care about the wall. I think Trump is ridiculous.

However, I've never questioned the amount the government has choosen to spend on securing the southern border and I'm not inclined to pretend to be an expert now.

I'd give Trump the money just to put government employees back to work.

Though Trump is to blame, the Dems need to give in for the sake of the people!

This is the wall he currently wants. Are you capable of not spinning an argument?

    Answer: Nah

For the record, I think you’re an asshole mate!

Dems shouldn’t give in because Trump ran his mouth and said he owned this shutdown.

Go ahead and not hold politicians accountable for their words. It’s only the single most important thing about the profession.

Given that you are so full of hate, I'm sure you take pleasure in the suffering of government workers who are going without pay and delight in being able to blame Trump for their misery.

    It's a win-win for you.

Since I have empathy, I'd prefer not to see hundreds of thousands of Americans suffer simply because Trump doesn't know what he's doing.

Democrats could give Trump the money and spin that into a huge public-relations win. Of course, there's some risk with that approach from a political standpoint, but it'd be better for the people.

At least when people start losing their homes and going without food, you can blame Trump. Fuck those people, right?

Don't start carrying the torch for unpaid workers asshole. You consistently support Trump and he owns this, by his own words. You hold him accountable for next to nothing.

If Democrats give in now then he'll throw a tantrum and shut down the government when he wants his next "win." Get your head out of your ass dude.

And you'll blame Democrats. No, not fuck them, fuck you!

Wow, total shocker that research showed the Secure FENCE Act wouldn’t work!! Great research! What the fuck does that have to do with the wall? Great comparison, douchebag!

Who cares if Mexico pays for this thing up front, in a trade deal later, or AT ALL?? This is about keeping drugs from pouring through our southern border, keeping out illegal immigrants and protecting American workers and taxpayers, keeping out human trafficking, etc. If you are anti-wall you are Anti-America. Democrats have shown no real way to deal with these issues. Trump is trying to solve it and is being shut out because they don’t like him or his politics - plain and simple. Can’t let the guy get a win. Selfish, and will hurt them in coming elections.

Get a clue you fucking nitwit.

We're talking about border security dipshit. Not even you are dumb enough to misunderstand the correlation.

Who cares? His voters should care because it was a central campaign promise. Love how you immoral pieces of shit already are starting to spin that statement.

Drugs are coming through ports of call. Not the southern border you stupid piece of shit. Maybe do some research before you just spout off like an asshole?...why start now though...

Democrats just won back the House and enough Senate seats to block this asshole. That is not a sign that people believe in Trump policies.

Go fuck yourself! You're this message boards version of Sarah Sanders. Fucking racist loser.

Aside from Terp and Mdubbs dumbassery...

The real win is for Trump to take the 1.6 billion offered and build part of the wall.

He never promised mileage. Lives up to his campaign promise and promises to build more/allocate more after he's re-elected in 2020.

His base would absolutely buy that the Democrats obstructed his full plan and cry the blues for him, etc.

Doesn't lose votes and fulfills a campaign promise. He's too stupid to see it OR it's a perfect distraction from Mueller.

I think it's the latter but whatever. He's dumb AF

Former Trump Organization VP Spills Beans On Donald Trump’s Awful Dealmaking Skills
President Donald Trump may hype himself as a master dealmaker.

But that’s not how former longtime Trump Organization executive Barbara Res or Trump’s The Art of the Deal co-author Tony Schwartz see it. They told MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Thursday that Trump’s dealmaking skills aren’t what the president brags them to be.

“I never thought he was a great dealmaker, to be honest with you,” said Res, who was the organization’s vice president in charge of construction. “In terms of taking the responsibility for the buck, he just would never do it. It’s not in his DNA. He’s never responsible. It is always someone else’s fault.”

Schwartz, meanwhile, said he recently looked back on Trump’s business deals that he “unfortunately described 30 years ago” and realized that “most of the deals in that book were failures.”

“And the number of deals he’s made over the years since then have overwhelmingly been failures,” Schwartz added. He said Trump was “really one of the worst” dealmakers he’s ever come across.

Thinking the wall and shutdown is simply meant to distract people from Mueller is pretty funny. You should keep thinking and saying that.

Anything you disagree with sounds just right to me!

You should keep saying things like, "He did a good job with his address."

    Makes you look really aware.

Mexico would have been better off if they had just written the check to begin with. Instead they tried to play hardball with the Donald and now they're going to pay for the wall many many times over.
